Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier, February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer, songwriter, and musician born in Detroit and raised in Phoenix. The Rolling Stone Album Guide has called him the world's most "beloved heavy metal entertainer". In 2011, the original Alice Cooper band was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Alice has stated that The Yardbirds were his favorite band of all time. He continues to help and council other musicians with dependency problems. He has said golf played a “major” part of his own recovery process. He was briefly linked with Racquel Welch but married Sheryl Goddard, (a member of his show from 1975-1982) in March of 1976 and they are still together today!
